This is gothic_elvis fanfiction's journal.
Here I post all my fiction stories and occasional original works. I may also post writing tips, techniques eventually.

This journal contains writings not appropriate for those of younger audiences. The stories within it are slash (male on male) and contain graphic sex, violence, language, etc. If you cannot handle this, please leave now.

Almost all the writing I do is SLASH.
Slash is the pairing of two men together (//, mxm, m/m, etc). It is almost always going to be romantic relationships and you will rarely see het (mxf) here. I may do femmeslash on an off day.

You have been warned. If you do not like homosexuals please leave now.

A bit of a background story on me and how I got started in fanfiction:

I've liked fanfiction for a few years now, but only got into slash about a year ago. (Around December of 07). I used to read het stories religiously; mainly Maximum Ride, HP, Twilight, and the occasional LOTR.

I refused to read slash because I thought it was icky. (Silly, silly me) I wrote a few het stories myself (Maximum Ride and Twilight) that I published at ff.net. I got very good feedback on most of them and that inspired me to keep going.

But then over a year ago I lost my interest in those when I realised how terrible the Twilight fandom had become (I want nothing to do with the scary fandom now. :P) and I strayed. I read my first slash story in HP. And then I read a femmeslash of A Great and Terrible Beauty.

It wasn't until I fell in love with the band HIM (and adored their singer) that I found my first slash pairing that I followed stories religiously in. I began to love Ville's (singer of HIM) and Bam's (Jackass, skateboarder) scenes together. (I used to hate Bam, believe it or not. In the Making of the HIM wideos I thought he had the camera on himself too much and not the band. :P )

So I searched for a fanfiction comm that had such stories and, lo and behold, _vam was found.

I read stories there for a good month before I got brave enough to post my own stories. And, I found that after I did, I got a good response.

I've just recently started broadening my taste and have now come to ADORE H/D. (September 08) It's a very hot pairing probably due to the saying 'opposites attract.' That, and there's magic involved, which can provide for an easy explanation to mpreg. :P

I've not yet tried to write anything in that pairing yet, but I'm sure in due time I shall.

And that is the tale of me and fanfiction. Hah
